About the Project
This three month capacity building, photo voice project was aimed at fostering greater engagement between a group of youth who live at Ivanhoe Place Housing Estate and other groups residing and working in the Macquarie Park area. The focus of this project was on exploring the places and people within Macquarie Park that create a sense of belonging and inclusion for these young people.

Dr Gillian Vogl, Dr Lorraine Gibson and Dr Rochelle Spencer interviewed these young people using their photos as a basis for the interviews. The project will culminate in an exhibition at Brush Farm House.

This project is part of a much larger proposed project on Social Inclusion, Belonging and Place Sharing. The larger project will involve a number of government organisations, NGO's and corporations in Macquarie Park area  working with researchers from Macquarie University to develop sustainable ground up  community initiatives to create greater belonging and connection between all groups living and working in Macquarie Park.
