Centre for Research on Social Inclusion

Transformations of Work in Contemporary Australia

a one-day interdisciplinary workshop

Date:   Friday, 10th December
Venue:   Research Hub - Room C5C 498, Macquarie University

The workshop includes presenters from the departments of philosophy, sociology and economics at Macquarie University, and from the Centre for Research on Social Inclusion. The workshop will explore work in Australia from conceptual, methodological and empirical perspectives; it will consider how the processes that are transforming contemporary workplaces should best be analysed, how work influences politics, and will review issues raised by aggregate labour market data and qualitative research in Australia.

The program and list of presentations are attached.

All are welcome and attendance is free. However, because places are limited and in order to organise catering, please register with the conference organiser if you would like to attend.

To register, email Dale Tweedie at: dale.tweedie@mq.edu.au by Wednesday, 8th December, 2010.
