Scholarship Description
A PhD scholarship is available in the Macquarie University Centre for Research on Social Inclusion (CRSI). This scholarship is attached to an ARC Discovery Grant titled 'Encounters with Extinction: A multi-sited, multispecies approach to life at the edge of catastrophe in the Asia-Pacific region'. The successful candidate will undertake research directed toward relationships between humans and one or more endangered species in the wider Pacific region. This scholarship is offered once only to one person. Open for applications until June 30, 2011.
Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD22860 (per annum). This award is to be used for research, living expenses and fees. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 and a half years.
Research Information
This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: Anthropology, Cultural studies, Ecology and evolution, Human geography or Philosophy. It is required that your study starts no later than December 1, 2011.
Eligibility
This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent. Only citizens of Australia or New Zealand or AUS permanent resident can apply.
